| The neck is also a barometer for self expression and change. It is the center from which we vocally express our feelings, thoughts, hopes and plans. One way to prevent neck tension is to express yourself appropriately and try to maintain a harmonious balance within yourself. Unfortunately, we are constantly being challenged to make changes in relation to the dynamics and transitions of life, so we probably will always have some neck tension!
However there are ways to relief the pain you have in your neck and with your hands you can potentially improve your health and increase your vitality. Acupressure is an ancient healing art that uses the fingers to stimulate key points on the skin that, in turn, activate the body's natural self-healing processes.
The following are some potent points for relieving Neck Tension and Pain. The technique is to use firm pressure by using your thumbs, fingers, palms, the side of the hand, or knuckles to apply steady, stationary pressure on the acupressure locations and the good news is that you can administer it yourself or with the help of a partner! |
